🎸 Yii

About

Yii is an experimental duo based in Copenhagen, formed by alto saxophonist Luka Zabric (born 1997, Ljubljana) and vocalist Laura Zöschg (raised in South Tyrol). Both trained in jazz and free improvisation - Zabric at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, Zöschg at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus - and both are part of the Copenhagen-based CRRNT Collective. Their music draws on extended techniques and acoustic phenomena to build a sound world that drifts between improvisation, song and poetry.
