About the venue

ARKEN Museum of Modern Art sits on the shore of Køge Bugt, south of Copenhagen, and opened in 1996. The building was designed by Søren Robert Lund as a striking ship-like structure that doubles as an architectural statement. The permanent collection focuses on Danish and international art from after 1945, alongside large-scale temporary exhibitions.
