About the venue

Byhistorisk Hus is a public cultural institution run by Glostrup Municipality, housed in the town's old vicarage. Its core is the local history archive, whose collection dates back to the Second World War; in 2017 the archive expanded into the whole building and took on its current name. The house holds exhibitions, archival collections and a large object collection - including pewter works by sculptor Just Andersen - and runs guided town walks, events and genealogy research. Local associations can book rooms, and the Genealogical Society for the Western Suburbs is also based here.
