About the venue

Egebæksvang Kirke is a Neo-Romanesque parish church built in 1897 to designs by architect Ludvig Knudsen, constructed in red brick with a chancel, nave and tower. It stands on the north-eastern edge of Espergærde, with forest to the west and Øresund to the east. Inside, a high open-truss ceiling and whitewashed walls define the space, while artists Joakim Skovgaard and Thorvald Bindesbøll shaped the ornamental details and the colourful leaded windows. The church is listed as a protected landscape feature and holds furnishings spanning several centuries, including figures dating from around 1650-1700.
