Valley of the Sun + Bogwife

Valley of the Sun is an American three-piece rock band formed in 2010. They blend stoner rock, grunge and psychedelia, and their sound has been compared to Fu Manchu, Kyuss, Truckfighters and Soundgarden. The band is currently on a three-month tour through the USA, England and Europe to celebrate the release of their latest album, "Quintessence". Metal Hammer has described them as: "With one leg in stoner rock and the other anchored vocally in the terrain that was previously marked by Alice in Chains or Soundgarden, Valley of the Sun by no means rely solely on fuzz strength, but also bring enough sense for dark atmosphere and melodies."

Bogwife (local) opens the evening. The band has released two albums: their debut Halls of Rebirth (2020), which received recognition on The Doom Charts, and the follow-up A Passage Divine (2021). Their sound draws on bands like Kyuss and Graveyard - groovy, distorted guitar combined with powerful vocals.
