Song Lecture with Rasmus Skov Borring

Doors open for dining guests at 17:30 and for other guests at 19:00. The lecture begins at 19:30 and ends around 22:00.

Rasmus Skov Borring draws on Danish song heritage, alternating between group singing and storytelling. He presents both well-known and newer songs from the Højskolesangbogen (Danish folk song collection) and talks about Denmark's singing folk culture and his own workshop practice of composing new group songs - including collaborations with the late poet Jens Rosendal, whom he worked with for seven years.

Rasmus Skov Borring received N.F.S. Grundtvig's Prize in 2019 and was nominated for the main prize at Artbeat Prize in 2022. He is behind the song "Give us the light back" and has several songs in the Højskolesangbogen. He is originally from Rødding.
