Zoumer

Zoumer is the Danish-Algerian singer, producer and songwriter Yasmina Derradj. With her new album e.a.l. (euro arab lovergirl), she takes the audience into a sonic universe that shifts between intimate diary entries and floating fantasy.

The music is built on electronic textures, field recordings, percussion, vocal freestyles, oud, guitar and sampled Middle Eastern instruments. Drawing inspiration from everything between Sugababes and Fairuz, Zoumer's music circles around identity, vulnerability, love and belonging - created in the tension between Copenhagen, London, Paris and Algiers.
