Danish pianist and composer Nicolai Kornerup explores a single question: what would Bach sound like if he had been from Romania - or from Norway? Together with the Nordic ensemble LiveStrings and percussionist Victor Dybbroe, he sets Bach's music in dialogue with Nordic compositions and Eastern European folk music.

Kornerup's own works carry traces of melancholy and longing, while the Eastern European tradition pulls toward something wilder and more passionate. The two worlds meet this evening in music that shifts between the joy of dance and the relief of tears.

Performers: Nicolai Kornerup (piano), Live Johansson (cello), Karen Johanne Pedersen (violin), and Victor Dybbroe (percussion).

Doors open 30 minutes before the concert. Any remaining tickets are sold at the door.
