Christmas Walk in Copenhagen
Sat, 28 Nov 2026 · 15:00 — 16:30
More dates: 5 Dec
Scandic Palace Hotel, Copenhagen · 185 kr. · ≈ 25 €
A guided city walk through central Copenhagen in November, exploring the history of Christmas traditions - including the origins of "julelege" (Christmas games) and the Lucia tradition.
In the Medieval Quarter's Latin Quarter, you'll see homes of both rich and poor and discover the neighbourhood's hidden shortcuts known only to locals. Along the way, you'll learn about figures like N.F.S. Grundtvig and Peter Faber, and hear the story of the fake Santas in Magasin's Solvognen (Sun Chariot) in 1974: what a commotion and alarm!
The walk starts at Lurblæserne on Rådhuspladsen in front of Scandic Palace Hotel and ends at Nyhavn, Kongens Nytorv Metro.
