Intro to Faces - Crack the Code — Høj kælder på hjørnet af Læssøesgade, Copenhagen

Do you avoid drawing faces? You're not alone - faces are the most recognizable thing in the world, so we're quick to spot when something "doesn't look right". In this beginner's course, we break faces down into simple shapes, work with expression and emotion, and play with asymmetry and breaking the rules. No prior experience needed, and the course is designed so you work quickly and freely without overthinking every line.

The course runs from 9:00 to 15:30 (we pack up at 15:15). The space is needed for another purpose in the evening, so it's important that everyone leaves on time with all their belongings. Coffee, tea, and water are made together throughout the day. Lunch is not included - bring a sandwich or salad.

For the course you'll need: soft pencils (e.g. HB, 2B, 4B), a pencil sharpener, an A5 or A4 sketchbook (e.g. Royal Talens, Moleskine, or Seawhite), a black waterproof pen (e.g. Uni-ball Eye fine pen or Uni Pin fine Line 0.7), a watercolour brush size 10 or 12, and a paper towel. A small palette with 6-12 half-pan watercolours is nice to have. Check the materials list and links in the menu.

Registration is binding. Cancellation or date change must be made at least 30 days before the course starts and incurs a fee of 25% of the full course price.
