Secrets of the Night Sky is an introductory course for anyone who wants to learn how to navigate the night sky. Together with one of the Planetarium's educators, you will explore constellations, planets, and phenomena such as nebulae and galaxies - all visible to the naked eye. The course takes place under the Planetarium dome, where the night sky is displayed without clouds and light pollution. You will also receive practical tips: what equipment can help, when during the year and time of day is best to look up, and where in Denmark can you find the darkest locations?
Program:
19:15: First part - Introduction to the night sky and the most well-known constellations
20:00: Break with opportunity to stretch and ask informal questions
20:30: Second part - Planets, deeper phenomena, and practical observation tips
21:10: Questions and closing remarks
21:30: Thank you for the evening
