Sylvester Larsen

Sylvester Larsen debuted in 2002 with "Mandagsramasjang" and quickly became part of the wave of Danish-language bands. His debut album received strong radio play, including the track "Bekymre sig en anden gang" featuring Nanna Lüders. The follow-up "Små synder" brought him the hit "Den evige stad", followed by "Skal du være fræk".

In 2011, Sylvester made a marked stylistic shift with "Shadows" - an album exploring film music, synthrock and jazz, with "Silver dollar" becoming his biggest hit to date. That same year he moved to Berlin for a year, where he wrote the music for "The end of dancing" (2012) and performed solo at local venues. The album gained attention in the USA, and he played five concerts in New York, including at The Bowery Electric. Since then he has released "Mega Egotripper" and "Trolddom".

His ninth solo album "Sætter ild til natten" came out on 3 May 2024 and marks a return to imperfect, analogue sound - played by real musicians without computer-corrected flaws. The album explores the dominance of algorithms and screen dependency: "Ekko" follows a teenager who permanently escapes into her avatar, while "Imperium" deals with humanity's pursuit of godhood and immortality. The musicians on the album are Johnny Stage, Mads Klinke Hansen and Klaus Nielsen (Grandmaster Dee Pee).
