Kontrastik: Carry Your Mistakes - A Musical Lecture

Bassist, composer and knit designer Albert Reinholdt Østergaard comes to Svebølle with his musical lecture "Bær dine fejl" (Bear Your Mistakes), performed under the artist name Kontrastik. The show has toured the country since 2022.

With his double bass Ælse by his side, Albert tells stories about bullying, self-worth and human vulnerability - set to music, group singing and humorous anecdotes, including tales of knitting in Cuban dance clubs. He draws connections between jazz's improvisational spirit and the logic of knitting, introducing the concept of "improvisation knitting": mistakes should not be hidden, but worn with pride.

Albert has played with drummer Ed Thigpen, saxophonist Bob Mintzer and bassist Hugo Rasmussen, studied in Cuba and recorded music in Brazil and the Baltic region. He received the award for Northern Jutland Jazz Name of the Year 2018, released his debut EP in 2023 and has been designing knitwear since 2015 in collaboration with Marianne Isager.
