Bjørn Harvig: On the Wrong Path - by Bicycle and on Foot to the End of the World

Bjørn Harvig is a former chairman of the Eventyrernes Klub, author of several acclaimed travel and expedition books, and host of the award-winning podcast Den Yderste Grænse, produced for the National Museum of Denmark, which explores adventure and exploration.

He prefers to travel slowly - on foot, by ski, or by bicycle - and it is the foreign people and their stories that carry his narratives. He does not seek out opinion leaders or journalists, but finds stories among the people he happens to meet along the way. His journeys take him through places we rarely hear from: the former Soviet Union, the Middle East, Pakistan, China, Iran, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and the Balkans - and the accounts are often both dramatic and tearfully funny.

Tickets are available either for the lecture alone (including coffee and cake) or as a combination ticket with a shared meal. Lecture only at 7 p.m.: 150 kr.; members of Hvidebæk Lokalråd or Biblioteksklubben pay 125 kr. Shared meal and lecture from 6 p.m.: 225 kr.; members 200 kr. The menu is composed by Kim Kok.
