Nature conservation work in Kildeengen - a nature area in central Hjørring

The autumn work in Kildeengen focuses on removing plants that shade more attractive species. Some areas are left untouched to preserve habitats for animals, birds, butterflies and insects, while patches with interesting plants are allowed to flourish freely until next year. You will use scythes and rakes to gather vegetation into piles - the municipality handles removal.

Meet at Sct. Knuds Kilde. Scythes and rakes are available, but you are welcome to bring your own tools. Bring work gloves, practical clothing suited to the weather, and waterproof shoes or boots.

The event is a collaboration between Sct. Knudsby Borgerforening, Hjørring Municipality and DN Hjørring. Everyone is welcome.
