Morning Art: Art's Ability to Twist the Everyday — ARoS - Auditorium, Niveau 3, Aarhus

Nina Beier and John Miller both work with everyday objects that carry hidden stories about value, power, and hierarchies - but in very different ways. When these objects are placed in an artistic context, our perspective shifts, and the familiar opens up to new meanings.

The lecture examines selected works by the two artists, including Nina Beier's works in ARoS' collection, and places them within the art-historical traditions that have shaped them across the two generations they belong to. The works span installation, sculpture, painting, and photography, raising questions about consumption, sustainability, and cultural identity.

The 'Morning Art' lecture series is hosted by Martin Bjerg Dahl, education assistant at ARoS and a student with a bachelor's degree in Aesthetics and Culture with a focus on art history.

Price: 75 kr. excluding museum entry. Remember to buy an admission ticket unless you have an annual pass.
