Johnny Dall and Fredagsbar

Johnny Dall completed his apprenticeship as a chef and subsequently served his military service - by chance aboard the Royal Yacht Dannebrog, where he took charge of the Navy's galley. After three years of service, he moved to the airline Sterling Airways as a steward.

In 1970, the Royal Household contacted him with an offer of a position under the Civil Service as a court chef responsible for all the royal household's arrangements aboard the Royal Yacht Dannebrog. This involved planning official visits, provisioning for voyages, and handling various unforeseen situations.

Johnny shares stories from his life on land, at sea, and in the air, answers questions, and draws on his many experiences from a long and varied working life.
