Children's Theatre: A Tomato's Life - Ages 0-4

Children's theatre for ages 0-4 and their adults, set in a gardener's greenhouse. In this nearly wordless solo performance, Quasi Teater tells the story of birth, fertility, love, death and resurrection - all conveyed through animation and music. It is a tribute to the tomato plant and to the slow, cyclical world.

All props are made from recycled materials, crocheted, sewn or hand-painted. The plant grows with a pull of a string, and insects are animated with a stick. Jacob Gurevitsch's music sets the frame, supplemented by sound effects from an autoharp.
