Sing for Unity 2026 at Fregatten Jylland

Sing for Unity is a global event where choirs around the world sing at 14:00 local time on Sunday, 20 September 2026. In Ebeltoft, 300 choir singers gather in front of Fregatten Jylland on Fregatpladsen to sing for peace and community, accompanied by the ensemble Toneregn.

The programme begins with the choirs singing the Sing for Unity hymn at 13:30, followed by a welcome at 13:45. The concert and group singing run from 14:00 to 15:00, and the square remains open until 16:00. This year 12 songs are performed, including "All you need is love", "Where have all the flowers gone?", "What a wonderful world", "Kringsat af fjender", "En enkel sang om frihed" and "Den blå anemone" - plus Sing for Unity's peace hymn as a warm-up. Doors open at 12:30. No ticket is required at the entrance - it is possible to arrive on the day without advance registration. Food and drink are available for purchase on the square.
