Latin American Music with El TocaRuidos Ensemble. Sunday Matinée

El TocaRuidos Ensemble performs Latin American music under the direction of Argentine percussionist and composer Carlos Passeggi, whose work draws on jazz, tango, folk music, and contemporary music.

Percussion is at the centre - not merely as rhythmic drive, but also as a melodic and harmonic voice. This is complemented by electronic sounds, the human voice, and visual projections, all of which engage in dialogue with the ensemble's Latin American roots and with sound and video art.
