Louise McClelland soprano & Laurits Dragsted piano. Lindegård Concert
Kulturstedet Lindegaarden, Kgs. Lyngby
Louise McClelland soprano & Laurits Dragsted piano: Friday 29 January 2027, 19:30–21:30, Kulturstedet Lindegaarden, Kgs. Lyngby.
Soprano Louise McClelland Jacobsen and pianist Laurits Dragsted perform at Kulturstedet Lindegaarden. Both belong to the younger generation of prominent Danish artists in opera and lied.
The programme features Alban Berg's Sieben frühe Lieder, songs by Schubert, and a selection of opera arias. Berg's songs combine a refined late-Romantic sound world with powerful poetic moods. Schubert's songs range from intimate lyricism to dramatic intensity, and in the arias Louise McClelland Jacobsen can deploy her full vocal and scenic range.
Louise McClelland Jacobsen is a Danish-New Zealand soprano trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and the Opera Academy. Her repertoire spans from Mozart and Strauss to contemporary Danish music. She has performed with the DR Symphony Orchestra, Concerto Copenhagen, and the Royal Danish Chapel, and has received both the Carl Nielsen and Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen Talent Prize and the Léonie Sonning Talent Prize.
Laurits Dragsted is a soloist-class pianist trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and a sought-after repetiteur. He has participated in numerous opera productions at the Royal Theatre and worked with conductors including Paolo Carignani, Julia Jones, and Fabio Luisi. Lied plays a major role in his work, and he performs regularly at Danish music festivals. Together with Louise McClelland Jacobsen, he has recorded music by Rued Langgaard, among other works.
