Herregården Hessel celebrates the arrival of autumn with ploughing in the fields. In the wool tent, sheep take centre stage - wool, hides, and meat are presented separately. Around the farm, traditional crafts and seasonal practices are demonstrated.

Children enter free. Adults pay 120 kr., and Hessel's friends 60 kr.

About the venue: Herregården Hessel

Hessel manor near Hvalpsund is first recorded in 1391 and is considered Denmark's last fully thatched, four-winged manor house. Most of the buildings date from the 18th century, while the barn goes back to the 17th. Today it operates as a living cultural-history museum depicting rural life in the 1800s - with dairy cattle grazing the fields, heritage grain varieties under cultivation, and volunteers demonstrating traditional crafts such as blacksmithing, wood-turning and rope-making.
