Folkeuniversitetet: K.E. Løgstrup

K.E. Løgstrup (1905-81) is considered Denmark's greatest theological and philosophical thinker since Søren Kierkegaard. Two questions drove his thinking: where does the destructiveness we all know come from - which Løgstrup experienced firsthand through two world wars? And why do phenomena such as trust, love and compassion thrive nonetheless, even under the most unfavourable circumstances?

The lecture series focuses particularly on his ethical thinking (the ethical demand and the sovereign life-expressions), his philosophy of art and his philosophy of religion.

The six lectures are held on Tuesdays from 10:00 to 12:00 in the Great Hall at Kolding Library, Slotssøvejen 4, starting 25 August and ending 6 October 2026. Dates: 25/8, 1/9, 15/9, 22/9, 29/9 and 6/10 2026. The instructor is Bjørn Rabjerg, lecturer in philosophy of religion at Aarhus University.
