Concussion - How Do We Solve the Gordian Knot? — Hovedbiblioteket, Aarhus

Concussion affects thousands of Danes every year - yet the condition remains surrounded by professional disagreement and myths. What actually happens in the brain when it is shaken? What does the latest research show about treatment, and should concussion even be defined as a brain injury?

Two prominent researchers offer their perspectives: Jørgen Feldbæk, professor of neurology and research director at Hammel Neurocenter, and Hana Malá Rytter, director of the Danish Center for Concussion and lecturer in neuropsychology at Copenhagen University and Bispebjerg Hospital. The conversation is moderated by science journalist and sociologist Anne Sofie Hoffmann Schrøder.

The event is part of Folkeuniversitetet's knowledge festival Hearts & Minds. It takes place in the Main Hall at Aarhus Central Library - the full programme can be found on Folkeuniversitetet's website.
