TorsdagsSalonen #12 Schnack, Gjessing and Sennenvaldt
Herfølge Bibliotek, Herfølge · 40–75 kr. · ≈ 5–10 €
TorsdagsSalonen #12 brings two writers and a musician together at Herfølge Library.
Asger Schnack debuted in 1967 with the poetry collection "Øjeæbler" and has since published poetry collections, novels and essays over more than 50 years. In 2026, "Det var mit system at elske - 81 digte om kærlighed og sorg, fortid og nutid" was published, described as his most personal book to date - the cover bears a photograph he has carried in his wallet for 50 years. He received the Danish State Arts Foundation's lifetime grant in 2001.
Signe Gjessing debuted in 2014 with "Ud i det u-løse", which won her the Bodil and Jørgen Munch-Christensen debut prize. Since then, she has published seven more works, and her poems have been translated into several languages. Most recently, "Bryllupsnat" was published in 2026 - a collection of cosmic love poems, which Weekendavisen called "funny, surprising, wildly original and decidedly sexy", and Kristeligt Dagblad gave six stars.
Henriette Sennenvaldt was the lead singer of Under Byen for 20 years, which Rolling Stone Magazine called "probably the best band in the world". Her solo album "Something Wonderful" won the Steppeulven 2021 award for Best Composer and was featured on New York Times' Playlist of the Week. For the evening, she is accompanied by Bjørn Heebøll (drums), Daniel Hilden Honore (saxophone), Rasmus Kjær (keys) and Jeppe Skovbakke (bass).
