John Huntington: The New School

Large panels are set up by the ramp in front of the library, each featuring instructions and questions about different places, people, and things. Some questions invite you to explore DOKK1 and the surrounding area before returning to fill in the worksheets with drawings, paintings, and writing.

The answers and questions are continuously collected into a large model of a new school that is constantly being negotiated. In the end, all the panels together form a large map of The New School, and your contribution becomes part of it.

John Huntington is present at selected times during the festival and is happy to help you get started. Based in Göteborg, he investigates the structures and institutions that shape everyday life, approaching the office and work as social, cultural, and physical phenomena.
