Bat Tour in Rådmandshaven

On Saturday, August 29 - International Bat Night - Danmarks Naturfredningsforening Næstved invites you to an evening tour in Rådmandshaven to observe the bats of the night.

At dusk, bats fly out to hunt insects, which they locate using echolocation. Nature guide Henriette Gaborit explains the bats' way of life and demonstrates how to use bat detectors to pick up the sounds the human ear cannot hear - and thereby identify individual species. Weather permitting, you may see 4-6 different species.

The tour is free and runs from 19:45 to approximately 21:30. Meeting point is the car park at Rådmandshaven between the forest and the administration building. Cancelled in case of rain.
