Bonfire, Community and Foraging on Amager Fælled is a nature programme for children and young people aged 11-15. Maximum 10 participants per session.

The programme concludes with a shared meal on 27 Sep 13:00-16:00, which participants help prepare. They can invite their families and showcase their new knowledge and skills - the young people guide the adults.

Across the sessions, we light and tend fires, forage in nature, cook over an open flame, and find calm and breathing space. We are offline, help each other, and meet with respect.

About the venue: Islands Brygge Bibliotek

Islands Brygge Bibliotek on Njalsgade is a small public library that has occupied the same spot in the old part of the Islands Brygge neighbourhood since 1966. The single-room space houses both adult and children's sections, with shelves stocked with new titles. Beyond lending, the library runs reading clubs, author events, book cafés and regular children's activities such as storytelling and theatre. Self-service access is available every day 08:00-20:00; a health card is required outside staffed hours.
