Baroktoberfest 2026
Koncertkirken, Copenhagen · 0–450 kr. · ≈ 60 €
Baroktoberfest is Camerata Øresund's informal baroque music festival, opening its doors at Koncertkirken in Copenhagen on October 23-24, 2026 for the second time. Over two days, the festival features four concerts, communal dining, folk dancing, and musical surprises with Camerata Øresund and international guests.
This year's programme heads north. The opening concert "Nordisk Kontrast" brings old Icelandic folk melodies and the traditional langspil instrument to life with Camerata Øresund and the Icelandic vocal ensemble Cantoque, accompanied by a light installation by Lene Juhl. The second concert on Friday evening, "Nordisk Harmoni", continues the Nordic theme with music by Purcell, Roman, Geist, Campra and Händel - partly inspired by the Swedish Düben collection. Saturday evening features "Melankoli og Majestæt" with English baroque music from around 1600 to the mid-18th century, and the festival closes with a meeting of baroque and folk music - and folk dancing with bagpipes.
Friday evening begins at 18:00 with communal dining in Koncertkirken's crypt: a vegetarian buffet, musical performances outside the official programme, and a Baroktober quiz. Places for the communal dinner are limited. The first concert begins at 19:00, the second at 20:30. Saturday features a concert at 19:00.
You can buy a ticket for a single concert or experience the entire festival.
