Experience Faroese Vonbjørt Vang

In the poetry collection "Sort Orkidé" (Dark Orchid), Faroese author Vonbjørt Vang portrays parenthood through the eyes of a mother whose son gradually descends into substance abuse and psychiatric illness. Vang will read from the collection and discuss powerlessness in the parental role with researchers from Afmagt.dk.

This event is a collaboration between LiteratureXchange and Afmagt.dk, part of the series "Conversations on Powerlessness". Afmagt.dk is a humanities research project at Aarhus University, funded by the VELUX FOUNDATION from 2024-2029, where researchers across disciplines work with external partner organizations to explore powerlessness in Danish society.
