When Julie Andrews burst into song in the Austrian Alps, the mountains became even more famous. The Sound of Music has been one of the world's most beloved films since its premiere, and its songs have become evergreens.

Today, tourists flock to Austria for both the music and the nature. Vienna and Salzburg are renowned for their contributions to the classical music tradition, and many composers' homes have been converted into museums. A summer in Tyrol is among the favorites, the roads along the Danube are world-class, and the breathtaking Alpine passes offer stunning views.

This event takes you on a journey through the Austrian landscapes - visiting Salzburg, the wine regions of Südsteiermark and Burgenland, and meeting artists, writers, and explorers in mountain villages. Librarian Jesper Christoffersen and literature educator Julie Garde tell stories about nature, culture, and history through words, sound, and images.
