In Greek mythology, everything began with chaos. Scientifically, we know nothing about what happened before the Big Bang - but we can trace the universe's development from the first explosion, through the earliest stars and on to the third generation that paved the way for our solar system and life on Earth. Astrophysicists also have a theory about the end: energy slowly dissipates until everything becomes nothing.

Ensemble MidtVest interprets this cosmic narrative in music through seven stations, seven works and seven moments in the history of time and space. The programme features works by John Cage, Per Nørgård, Olivier Messiaen, Kaija Saariaho and Arvo Pärt, among others.
