Amar:Litt Presents Caspar Eric

Caspar Eric reads from his poetry and answers questions from the audience on all manner of topics. The format is stripped down: poetry at the centre, nothing else.

His latest collection "CRIP" won both the Politiken Literature Prize 2025 and the Weekendavisen Literature Prize. In the collection, Caspar Eric - who has cerebral palsy himself - explores what it is like to live with a disability in Denmark today. "We must scratch the surface of the normal," the collection states, questioning why it is easier to talk about assisted dying than about life support, and why mothers of children with disabilities must speak out again and again.

The event is organized by Amar:Litt, a group of volunteers who arrange literary events on Amager with support from Copenhagen Municipality Libraries, Amager East Local Committee, and the Danish Arts Foundation.
