My Mother - The Judge

Author Louise Kjær tells the story of her mother, Anne Kjær, one of Denmark's first female judges.

At age 17, Anne moved into Regensen during World War II to study law. After the war, she contracted polio and suffered permanent paralysis in her leg, but continued her career in a male-dominated legal system and built a life with three children.

The lecture is based on Louise Kjær's biographical novel "My Mother the Judge", her debut as an author. The price includes coffee, tea, and cake.
