What happens in the field when spraying stops? — Holbæk

Vallestrup Levende Grundvandspark was inaugurated on 22 March 2026 and has not been sprayed since. Over the coming years, trees will be planted and year-round grazing established to strengthen biodiversity and protect drinking water. But what is already happening in the field - which species have appeared, and which can we expect?

Skovgro and the Danish Nature Conservation Association Holbæk invite you to an afternoon of walking, species recording, and guided sensory experience. The programme includes a welcome with a brief introduction to Skovgro, DN Holbæk and the park, a presentation on the field's small animals with a special focus on beetles by Peter Kirkegaard, an introduction to the Bioblitz method, and a walk where participants record their own findings. Kirsten Vagn leads the guided sensory experience, and the event concludes with tea, a carrot, and a chocolate biscuit.

All ages are welcome. It is recommended to download the Arter app before arrival: https://arter.dk/overblik
