Reformation Stamp Exhibition — Ehlers Samlingen - en del af Historie Haderslev, Haderslev

Philatelist David Scherger has assembled a collection of more than 480 Luther stamps and is now displaying it at Historie Haderslev. He has previously shown the collection in Germany, and the exhibition takes place in connection with the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.

Beyond Scherger's collection, the exhibition focuses on Danish Luther and Reformation stamps, primarily issued as anniversary editions - at the 400th anniversary in 1936 and the 450th anniversary in 1986.

The exhibition runs from 14 September to 30 October 2026 at Kløvervej 87B, 6100 Haderslev. Opening hours: Monday-Thursday 9-15, Friday 9-12. Admission is free - follow the signs to the main entrance upon arrival.

Haderslev celebrates the jubilee because the city was the first place in the Nordic region where Luther's ideas were put into practice in 1526 - ten years before the Reformation was officially introduced in Denmark. A wide range of events run throughout 2026, including a floral art installation with the Luther Rose, church services, concerts focusing on Renaissance music, and a family fun run.
