Concert with Richters Skala Chamber Choir at Brønshøj Vandtårn

On 13 September, Richters Skala Chamber Choir takes over Brønshøj Vandtårn with a programme tailored to the tower's acoustics. The programme features works by Nystedt, Pärt and Rehnqvist, as well as a world premiere of a piece by Bornholm-based Hans Askou. The music ranges from the broad, yearning sounds of nature romanticism to the multi-voiced cluster sounds of modern choral music - and throughout, the choir moves around the space, so the music is heard from changing angles.

Richters Skala is a chamber choir with 26 singers, founded in 2021 by Laus Richter Larsen. The choir has specialised in the classical repertoire with a particular fondness for Nordic choral music, and is characterised by each singer having a leading solo responsibility. The choir is active throughout Denmark and has collaborated with the baroque orchestra Originalerne and the string quartet AKELA.

Conductor Laus Richter Larsen (he/him) is trained as a choral conductor, singer and vocal pedagogue from the Royal Danish Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, with a specialisation in Nordic musical tradition, modern choral music and vocal improvisation.
