Concert with Richters Skala Chamber Choir at Brønshøj Vandtårn
Richters Skala Chamber Choir performs works by Nystedt, Pärt and Rehnqvist plus a world premiere by Hans Askou in Brønshøj Vandtårn, with the music heard from shifting perspectives.
Richters Skala is a Danish chamber choir of around 27 singers, founded in 2021 by conductor, singer and vocal pedagogue Laus Richter Larsen, who trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Based at Emmauskirken in Frederiksberg, the choir focuses on classical and Nordic choral repertoire, with each singer carrying individual soloistic responsibility. It performs across Denmark and has collaborated with the period-instrument ensemble Originalerne and the string quartet AKELA.
Richters Skala has received 5,000 kroner in grants from Bornholm Music and Theatre Council for two concerts during Bornholm Cultural Week 2026 - in Østerlars Rundkirke and Svaneke Kirke.
For Bornholm Cultural Week, the choir plans world premieres of two choral works by Bornholm composer Hans Askou.
The choir performed Vivaldi's Gloria and Magnificat in collaboration with the baroque orchestra Originalerne and soloists Hanne Marie le Fevre and Cassandra Lemione.
Richters Skala held a concert in Emmauskirken on Frederiksberg together with the string quartet AKELA under the title 'Mørk er november'.
