Say Goodbye to a Crocodile - Visit from Pangea Zoo

Two zookeepers from Pangea Zoo visit with some of the park's animals. Pangea Zoo is a small, family-friendly zoo with a wide variety of animals, including many reptiles.

The programme features a West African dwarf crocodile (the world's smallest crocodile species), a snake, and an owl. The dwarf crocodile is endangered in the wild, but Pangea Zoo has successfully bred them and contributes to species conservation. Crocodiles and snakes are cold-blooded animals that need to warm up to stay active - a trait that fits perfectly with the library's autumn theme "Switch Off".

Children get close to the animals and learn about them directly from the zookeepers. The event is for curious children from age 5.
