Løbenæsen - Opera for the Youngest

An opera experience for children aged 6 months to 4 years and their adults. Two singing musicians and a guitarist perform arias from famous operas while exploring the body's senses and trying to solve Næsen's tickling problem. Mouth, Ear and Eye join in the mystery.

Video screens and mobile phones are moved and rotated so focus constantly shifts between different parts of the stage. Colourful costumes can transform into an enlarged nose, mouth, eye or ears and become playful elements accompanying the arias. The show is inspired by Gogol's story "The Nose" and combines excerpts from Purcell, Offenbach, Gershwin, Händel, Delibes, Bizet and Shostakovich.

The performance is part of the BIG BANG festival, taking place over the weekend of 29-30 August.
