Børnekulturhus Ama'r on Øresundsvej in the Amager district is a municipal children's cultural centre for ages 0-16, designed by Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter and opened in 2013. Part of Amager Kulturpunkt, it runs afternoon classes in theatre, visual art, dance and music, and offers workshops for school groups and institutions led by professional artists. Weekends and school holidays bring family-oriented events. The building has a climbing wall, dens for free play, and a café area.
