Løbenæsen — Børnekulturhus Ama´r, Copenhagen

Løbenæsen is an opera for children aged ½-4 years, focusing on sniffling, sneezing, and runny noses. Two singing musicians and a guitarist perform arias from famous operas while searching for a solution to the Nose's runny problem. The characters Mouth, Ear, and Eye try to solve the mystery. The show is inspired by Gogol's "The Nose" and draws on excerpts from Purcell, Offenbach, Gershwin, Händel, Delibes, Bizet, and Shostakovich.

Video screens and mobile phones are moved and rotated to highlight different parts of the stage, and the colourful costumes can transform into an enlarged nose, mouth, eye, or ears.

The performance runs Saturday 29 August at 13:00 and 14:30, and Sunday 30 August at 10:30 and 13:00. Get a ticket at the info booth to secure a place for your chosen performance.

Løbenæsen is part of the BIG BANG festival. One ticket is valid for a whole festival day - at the info booth it is exchanged for a wristband with free access to all activities and performances where there is space. BIG BANG takes place at Amagers Musiktorv with performances at Amager Bio, BETA, Teater ZeBU, and Børnekulturhus Ama'r. Snacks and drinks can be purchased on the square, but you are also welcome to bring your own.
