Christmas on Danish kl. 14 - University Choir Lille MUKO — Holmens Kirke, Copenhagen

Lille MUKO presents a Christmas concert titled 'Christmas on Danish' at Holmens Church on December 19 at 2 p.m. (and again at 5 p.m.). The concert features well-known Danish and international Christmas songs - all sung in Danish - as well as sing-alongs where the audience is invited to join in.

Soloists Frederikke and Anders Kampmann perform alongside Tine Rehling on harp, Eva Østergaard and Nikolaj von Scholten on flute, Jakob Lorentzen on organ, and Ole Faurschou as conductor. Jakob Lorentzen, organist at Holmens Church, has arranged many of the songs performed. Lille MUKO also contributes pieces from the choir's own repertoire.

Frederikke Kampmann, soprano, made her professional debut in 2008 as Euridice in Monteverdi's L'Orfeo and has since performed with all regional orchestras in Denmark - including in Mozart's Requiem with Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, Carmina Burana with Danish Entertainment Orchestra, and Bach's Christmas Oratorio with Odense Symphony Orchestra. Her recent roles include Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro at Den Ny Opera, Genovieffa in Suor Angelica at Copenhagen Opera Festival, and Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro at Malmö Opera. She studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, and has received awards including Young Opera Talent of the Year at Copenhagen Opera Festival (2013), the Else Brems Travel Grant (2021), and the Aalborg Opera Award (2022).

Anders Kampmann, tenor, studied at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and the Jutland Academy of Music in Aarhus. He has sung Sándor Barinkay in Der Zigeunerbaron at Theater Magdeburg, Canio in I Pagliacci and Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana at Helsingør Chamber Opera, and Siegmund and Siegfried in The Ring on one evening and Prince Jennaro in Hartmann's The Raven at Den Jyske Opera. He is a frequent guest at the Royal Theatre, where he has appeared in The Merry Widow 2.0, The Fall of the King, and The Puppet Master. Recently he won 3rd prize at the Lauritz Melchior International Singing Competition.
