Myths about the Cerebellum

The cerebellum makes up only about 10% of the total human brain and has long had a reputation as a "primitive brain" that merely controls basic processes like fight-or-flight reactions. However, new research suggests that the cerebellum is far more complex and has been systematically underestimated.

Lau Møller Andersen, lecturer in cognitive neuroscience at Aarhus University, examines the myths and explains what research actually reveals about the cerebellum's role.

The event is part of the Folk University's knowledge festival Hearts & Minds and takes place in the Small Hall at the Main Library.
