On Culture Night, Skibsklarerergaarden opens its doors outside normal opening hours, allowing visitors to experience the historic house in the evening darkness.

Trio Suonante performs authentic 19th-century music on period instruments, while Danske Empire Dansere takes to the dance floor throughout the evening.

About the venue: Skibsklarerergaarden

Skibsklarerergaarden on Strandgade 91 is the best-preserved building from Helsingør's Sound Dues era. The house dates to the 16th century but took its current form in the 1780s and has changed little since. The ground floor holds a ship's chandlery founded in 1809 - Denmark's oldest surviving shop interior - alongside a captain's parlour, while the first floor recreates the ship handler's private home as it looked between 1790 and 1850. The museum is part of Museum Helsingør and opens according to a seasonal programme.
