Chess and AI - for children, adults and everyone who loves a good move

Free event at Roskilde Library (The Hall) combining chess, community and artificial intelligence - for beginners and experienced players, children and adults. No registration required, just show up.

From 11 to 12: journalist and author Morten Runge gives a talk based on his book "Queen to h6 - the dramas of chess history". The book unfolds six major chess dramas and touches on the Cold War, the battle of the sexes, high politics, conspiracies, fraud and artificial intelligence - featuring figures such as Vera Menchik, Bobby Fischer, Garri Kasparov and Magnus Carlsen. The talk lasts 45 minutes followed by 15 minutes of questions. Morten Runge is host of P1 Morgen and DR's chess commentator.

From 12 to 14: the chess and board game association Fungere teaches basic chess principles for beginners and intermediate players. You can try endgames, pawn chess and the six chess games from Morten Runge's book. This part is for adults and children from 8 years old.
