The Little System Shift in 2001 - 25 Years Later

Twenty-five years have passed since Anders Fogh Rasmussen formed the VK government following the 2001 election - an election later dubbed "the little system shift", a clear reference to the System Shift of 1901. A centre-right alliance united around value politics, with the Danish People's Party as a permanent supporting party, and the culture and values debate moved to the centre of Danish politics. A quarter-century later, the aftereffects still shape political discourse.

Prospekt and Grundtvigsk Forum invite you to a conversation about what became of the centre-right project - and what it takes to carry it forward. A panel looks both back at the development and ahead to the next chapter of centre-right politics.
