Christmas Concert - maia maia & Maria Lærke

This Christmas concert emerges from the season when winter's darkness meets the light of Christmas. With an intimate setup, the songs circle around heartbreak, loneliness, and hope - and about letting the light shine through, even when life hurts.

The repertoire includes a Danish interpretation of the Christmas classic "O Holy Night" ("En Stjernenat") and maia maia's Danish version of Last Christmas ("Sidste Jul"). Both artists work with English songs translated into Danish, giving the audience the chance to hear familiar melodies in their native language.

maia maia is known for her Danish covers of English pop songs. Her version of Last Christmas reached over 1 million streams last year, and she subsequently released her Christmas music via Warner Music with official approval from George Michael's Estate. She was also named P4's Song of the Week twice in 2025. Her debut EP "hjernevrider" comes out September 25, 2026.

Maria Lærke creates intimate, melancholic pop songs in Danish. Her debut ballad "Ruin" was performed on the TV 2 programme Piano and has received airplay on P3, P4, and local stations across the country. She is currently working on new music and releases her debut EP on September 11, 2026.
