LiteraturHaus opened in 2005 inside the former Bethania Kirke, a Methodist church from 1892 on Nørrebro - making it Scandinavia's first literary house. The programme runs from author evenings, poetry readings and lectures to concerts and cross-disciplinary performances. The main hall seats 150 and the café 50; both spaces are available for hire for cultural and private events.
