The Wynton Kelly Trio was an American jazz piano trio led by Wynton Kelly (1931-1971), with Paul Chambers on bass and Jimmy Cobb on drums. The group served as Miles Davis' regular rhythm section in the late 1950s and early 1960s, and also worked extensively as a standalone unit and as a backing band for other jazz soloists.
